After completing my studies I moved to Brighton, England where I completed my Master of Arts in Psychology at the University of Sussex. I came to Australia in 2001 for my Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree with the University of South Australia. I first registered as a psychologist in 2002 and have been working full time as a psychologist since then. Many years later I completed my Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, and I am now an AHPRA Endorsed Clinical Psychologist and psychology supervisor.

I very much enjoying travelling and find that my travels have taught me a lot about myself and other people. Combining my passion for psychology and travel worked very well in my life, providing constant change, variety and excitement to break up the hard work of studying for a total of 8-9 years and working outside of study as a poor noodle-eating student.
My personal interests range from action and adventure such as diving and motorbike riding to the more sedentary activities of reading, classical music and the arts, and walking and playing with my two lovely labradors Stella and Wynter.

I started my psychology career working with people with brain injury and neurological disease at Julia Farr Services in SA in Government. I progressed into clinical leadership and allied health management within a few years. My passion for work and travel inspired my move to Rockhampton QLD where I held several positions over 3 years in Disability Services QLD, a rapid progression of positions which culminated into director level in a few short years. I moved to Sydney in 2009 and started working in the non-Government sector, specialising in autism, intellectual disability, and positive behaviour support. After nearly a decade in the disability sector I switched focus to youth mental health, starting up headspace Bankstown in 2015 as the Clinical and Operations Manager of the new centre. This later grew to 4 centres, still focusing on clinical practice as well as management of allied health staff. In 2020 I started my own practice, working full time as clinical psychologist.
Please feel free to look me up on LinkedIn if you would like further details about my professional career.
As with all other aspects of my solo practice in Camden, NSW I have made this website myself (and no I did not use an AI assistant). All photos on the site are my own, taken from various places during my travels in the past few years including Norway, Germany, Holland and Singapore as well as more locally in beautiful Australia.
I am sure there are sections I could have written better, some spelling mistakes, phrases or sentences that could be improved, grammar mistakes not even done by primary school students, and other flaws worthy of criticism. I would be very grateful if you could let me know if and when you spot these mistakes.
I hope you find my writing to be honest, open, transparent, and in the spirit of trying to be helpful. I am pleased to have written something, and I intend to add to this website with helpful resources such as 'between sessions', news and updates, and research related information to share.
Writing can often activate my own 'inner bastard', bombarding me with thoughts about how it's not accurate enough, not good enough, how it will be perceived negatively, how it will cause me embarrassment, etc.
Then I realise, how can my mind possibly know these things?? After all, I haven't even pressed the 'publish' button yet so there is no way I can know this now. And then I decide to write what my mind tells me, being open about this inner barrier, and catching out the flawed logic used by the 'not good enough' bastard inside.
I share this so that others can relate and perhaps find flaws with their own inner bastards that so often prevents us from doing what matters, being productive, being open and honest, and living by our values.
